Featured on LinkedIn: Fantasy Football & Marketing

Listening to my husband talk about his fantasy football teams is comparable to watching paint dry for me. (Anyone else relate to this? ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜…)

In fact, no matter how hard I *try* to be engaged, it's impossible for me to do so. I cannot and will not retain the information.

"Look, squirrel!" ๐Ÿค My brain

But, I'll give my amazing husb some credit (Hi, Joe!). He rarely talks about it with me anymore.

And instead of forcing it over and over, he KNOWS that I'm not his target audience, and I never will be. He has his guy friends to talk about that with.

It would be like me talking his ear off about marketing trends/news. At a certain point, I need to catch the hint and STFU. ๐Ÿ˜†

The same thing goes for business. โœ๏ธ

You may have heard that you need to be on X and Y marketing channels to see success. However, no matter how hard you try, posting new content consistently, it's simply just not working.

There could be a few reasons why. But, number one: It could be that the content isn't resonating with the right audience for your business/products. Or number two, it's the wrong channel altogether. โŒ

But, in this case, users aren't going to be as sweet as your partner... They're not going to pretend to listen because they owe you nothing. And they can be pretty relentless. **Cough, coughโ€” internet trolls!** ๐Ÿ‘ฟ

As a result, the algorithm won't show your content as much to new or existing people, due to the lack of engagement.

So, the moral of the story? Be like Joe! โค๏ธ

(1) Find your ideal audience, content, and channels. And (2) focus the majority of your time in those areasโ€” instead of being everywhere and nowhere, talking to everyone and no one about nothing and everything. ๐Ÿคช
