Featured on LinkedIn: Fear & Living Up To Your Full Potential

I struggle with social anxiety.

And while I'm always working to overcome it, it has affected various areas of my lifeβ€” both personally and professionally.

This is probably surprising to people who know me as a social butterfly. πŸ¦‹

But, I was talking to some of my entrepreneurial friends about fear, which is the root of all anxiety.

One of them brilliantly said that all fear we have as people can be broken down into two ways:

πŸ‘‰ the fear of abandonment
πŸ‘‰ and the fear of death.

For example: If you lose a client, you're probably afraid that you'll start losing more and more until finally, you've lost your house and you can't afford to eat. Death. πŸ’€

Another example: If you go on a date, you're probably afraid they won't like you, or you'll humiliate yourself. And as a result, you're going to end up alone. Abandonment. πŸ’”

But, I had this epiphany the other day...

Both abandonment and death are inevitable. And it's not worth never leaving your house just to avoid those things.

Because, while leaving the house increases the risk of your fears coming true, staying at home decreases your ability to truly LIVE.

✨ Here's a reminder to get out of your own way. ✨

Tell your fears, "See you never!" And go live up to your full potential.

All of us have the ability to make a difference in our lives. It just takes one decision to start.

You've got this. πŸ™‚
