Featured on LinkedIn: When to see results with marketing efforts

As a #marketer, the most common question I get from clients is “How long is it going to take for my brand to see results?”

What I want to respond with (as a naturally competitive and impatient person): “If not today, then tomorrow!”

But the truth is, no one really knows that answer. If we did, this profession would be a whole lot easier (and probably less fun).

However, I have two rules of thumb:

1) Long-term growth is better than short-term growth. While it may take a bit to see that upward trend, it’s so much more worth it in the end.

2) A set-it-and-forget-it approach will never work. Great marketing requires ongoing research, innovation, and measurement.

So, what I ACTUALLY say when I get that question: “It probably won’t happen overnight, but my goal is for us to see 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 results as quickly as 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐲 possible.”
