Featured on LinkedIn: Thought leadership isn’t about you; it’s about everyone else.

My hot take on thought leadership: It’s not about you. It’s about everyone else. 👀

Thought leadership is a strategic move to showcase your expertise in your niche and more importantly, make a difference in your community.

And to do so effectively, you can’t settle with being the person shouting from afar about a need for change. You have to become the one in the trenches, making sh*t happen.

Thought leaders are those willing to lead the way, despite the challenges and criticism.

They don’t simply do it for themselves. They do it for their friends, colleagues, family members, etc.

And that’s how they earn the respect of so many others, even those who disagree with their views.

At Hapacity, I’ve worked with various business owners, entrepreneurs, and other professionals in the St. Louis community to build their personal brands online into something worth following and championing.

But, the first questions I ask are:

👉 What impact are you trying to make on your community / what is your goal?
👉 Who is your core audience and what’s a problem they’re trying to solve?
👉 Who do you aspire to be like online? Mel Robbins? Gary Vaynerchuk? Why?
