Featured on LinkedIn: Thought Leaders vs. Influencers

So, what’s the deal with #influencermarketing?

A lot of #marketingstrategists cringe at the thought of using #influencers as part of their #marketingstrategy while others fully believe in its ability for garnering brand #awareness and even generating #revenue.

I get it. It’s not for everyone. ❌

On the other hand, pretty much every #marketer especially in #b2b is on board with #thoughtleadership #credibility and a positive #reputation for the brand and its leaders are the primary objectives. As a result, consumers feel more comfortable converting (big goal).

But, what if I told you that every #thoughtleader is an influencer, but not every influencer is a thought leader? It’s really just semantics. 🤯

Knowing that is super important.

Why? Because influencers are typically really great at connecting with their audience by sharing relevant information about the brands they love and/or topics that they are passionate about… But, that doesn’t mean they have a #businessmindset.

Now, THAT is the biggest differentiator.

A true thought leader (or influencer) talks the talk and walks the walk like a #businessperson. And that’s the kind of #advocate you want representing your #brand. Every. Damn. Time. ✅
