Featured on LinkedIn: Running a business requires emotional maturity

2021 is the year that I took the BIG leap and started my own small business, Hapacity Marketing, LLC! More specifically, on July 6th, 2021. 🚀

Since then, it’s become the most challenging and rewarding job I’ve ever done. And in the scheme of things, that means I’m pretty lucky.

But, I want to point out one major thing I’ve learned since jumping into this new career: the idea that “𝙗𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙞𝙨𝙣’𝙩 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡” is total BS. ❌

Almost everything about running a business is personal because you’re 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘪𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘥.

Imagine being so transactional thinking that every relationship you ever build through your business is only for the sake of generating conversions. 💰

I make it a point to come into every business interaction with an open heart. I’m excited to get to know people, even deeper than surface level, and I allow them to get to know me, too. That’s what makes humans 𝙝𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙨.

And it’s why I have stayed close to previous coworkers, like Holly Sinclair, writer for Atomicdust and painter for my home office. 😉

In light of all of that, here’s how I’m rewriting the idea: 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮 (so you aren’t a disaster to work with).

What are your thoughts? 🤔
