Featured on LinkedIn: Playing sports and running a business

As a new entrepreneur, I often think about how my career relates back to my years and years of playing #sports.

The mental toughness and semichaotic learning it required.
The ability to think fast and adapt to new situations.

More specifically, I’m reminded of when I first stepped onto the basketball court as a new high schooler.

I had been playing the game since 3rd grade, so I knew how the game worked. Yet, I felt like a newbie amongst the older high schoolers.

I strived to be at the same level as the others. But when I couldn’t perform, I took those failures to heart.

I still feel this now, as I surround myself with super smart, inspiring people. Entrepreneurs. Business Owners. Leaders.

However, things have slightly changed. (Thanks, therapy!)

My goal is no longer not to fail. My goal is to #learn as much as possible. Because that’s how I keep going, despite the occasional (OK, frequent) imposter syndrome.

I just wanted to take a moment and reflect on how far I’ve come. (Do you ever do this? You should!)

Happy FRIYAY, people! We’ve made it, and I’ll drink to that! ☕️
