And yes, I intentionally said ๐˜ข๐˜ด๐˜ด๐˜ฆ๐˜ต๐˜ด because they can “contain economic value and/or future benefit,” according to Investopedia’s definition.

These digital assets includeย #logos, social media profiles, companyย #websites,ย #emailย themes, data, images, audio, video,ย #blogs, and more.

And while it’s not a super controversial statement to say, so manyย #businessesย don’t actually own these things. ๐Ÿคฏ

For example, a business may have multiple employees under their Facebook page as admins, but their oldย #marketingagencyย from ages ago (who probably created their page in the first place) still has ownership.

That means the agency would have complete control over the page. If the business relationship went sour and they wanted to be malicious or even delete the page, they totally could. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

That probably would never happen, right?

Wrong! I’ve seen it happen firsthand. ๐Ÿ˜ซ

Businesses absolutely ๐— ๐—จ๐—ฆ๐—ง protect themselves. Owning all of yourย #digitalassetsย is an important step in doing so. And I’m here to help when you need it. ๐Ÿ’—
