Featured on LinkedIn: A small pond to a big river

Hi there! I wanted to reintroduce myself to any new followers. 🤍 (𝘉𝘛𝘞, 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦!)

I’m Holly— the Owner & Founder of Hapacity Marketing, which is a St. Louis-based marketing company.

For 18 years of my life, I lived in a super small town in Maine, where life was a lot slower.

But, I’ve always been driven, so I made the move here about four years ago to take a chance on my career… It started with an 𝙪𝙣𝙥𝙖𝙞𝙙 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 but has resulted in a #freelancing business. 😳

The transition from a small pond to a big river was a risk, but a rewarding one.

↠ It led me to 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘴, 𝘴𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘮𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘢 𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘰𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘛𝘝 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸𝘴.
↠ It led me to 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘳 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦.
↠ It led me to 𝘭𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭 𝘶𝘱 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘳 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘴𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭-𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳’𝘴 𝘥𝘦𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘦.
↠ It led me to 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘢 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥, more importantly, 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦.
↠ And it led me to 𝘮𝘦𝘦𝘵 𝘮𝘺 𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦, 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘤𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴.

Of course, I’ve been really lucky in my career thus far. But admittedly, my story isn’t unique.

I’ve heard similar stories from other #freelancers in the marketing realm. Like me, these people started their careers small and were patient (but not too patient). When good opportunities were given, they took advantage of them, despite the risks associated.

That’s how we achieve our dreams. 🚀

It’s time to ask yourself these questions: If not me, then who? If not now, then when? That’s the secret sauce that works for me and many others. 🙂

What’s your dream? Speak it into reality below. ⬇️
